HOW CUÉNTAME GOT STARTED
Cuéntame began as five friends in a cantina, sharing stories over mezcal and tacos. No stage, no microphone, no agenda — just a need for connection post-pandemic. It was raw, vulnerable, and spontaneous, creating space to bring people together through the ancient art of storytelling.
HOW CUÉNTAME HAS EVOLVED
From an intimate gathering, Cuéntame grew into monthly “Story Slam” events with themes, larger venues, and a stage. It expanded beyond storytelling to include solo performances, comedy, and collaborations with international artists, all while retaining its raw, unfiltered sharing of human experience.
THE VISION FOR THE FUTURE
Cuéntame aims to become the home of storytelling for all of Latin America, with franchises in major cities and a Mexico City Fringe Festival. The vision includes performances, workshops, and collaborations, connecting voices globally and building bridges through storytelling, ultimately sparking a storytelling movement worldwide.

THE FOUNDER OF
CUENTAME
I started Cuéntame in 2021 to create an offline space for connection after the pandemic. What began as five friends sharing stories has grown into a monthly Story Slam, a showcase for professional storytellers and comedians, and a bridge between CDMX and global solo performers.
As co-founder of Vagabrothers on YouTube (1.3M subscribers), I've spent a decade telling stories across digital, live, and written platforms, working with brands like Mercedes and Google. Cuéntame is my way of helping others express themselves, regardless of background or experience.
WHY STORYTELLING?
Stories are the bridges that connect us. And in an age dominated by social media, I wanted to create a space where where people can connect in person through vulnerability.
